This 1 day course is designed to provide you with the foundational skills you need to get out top rope climbing outdoors.
The skills taught on this course are foundational to all aspects of rock climbing and will give you the skills to get out climbing with more experienced partners right away.
No prior experience is necessary.
Itinerary: (Can vary slightly depending on the destination.)
we will meet up at 9am and then head up to a local rock climbing venue. We will spend the day climbing and getting hands on experience with the techniques required to keep you safe on a day of top rope climbing.

Techniques to stay safe while approaching the cliff edge
Safe Rappelling techniques
Movement skills training and development.
Transportation:
Any regular vehicle will suffice. NSM can provide transportation for up to 4 guests.
Meals:
Lunch for the day is provided
Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions in advance
If you have food allergies it is recommended to pack your own lunch.

Outer layer jacket with hood – Gore-Tex style
Clothing appropriate for the weather and allowing a full range of movement.
Sunglasses – UV block with good eye coverage (1pr)
