North Star Mountaineering provides exceptional mountaineering experiences in the Canadian wilderness. The company was founded in 2019 with the goal of bringing the triumph, energy and connection to nature that mountaineering provides to Canadians at home and around the world. 

Owned and operated by IFMGA/ACMG Mountain Guide Michael Caswell this is a small family business where you can expect to have expertise and personalized care for every step of your adventure.  

NSM strives to provide world class mountaineer development and mountain adventures in Canada. Trips are designed with your progression as a mountaineer in mind. Educational components will be covered as required for optimal performance and development as a climber. Trips are tailored to your needs and prioritized for their value to you the Mountaineer. Immerse yourself in wilderness and travel in harmony with it.

If you desire we can take care of all the logistics for your trip with us. This includes all equipment, hotel arrangements, food as well as pick up from the airport in Calgary or Cranbrook. We'll even set you up with a well earned massage and a soak in the mineral hot springs on your rest day!
